The Abhayachandpur police here and the Kharavel Nagar police in Bhubaneswar arrested a fake Ex-Army officer from the capital city on Monday evening.
The arrested was identified as Aniruddha Mishra, an operation manager of the Pratap Ghosh Security Agency engaged at the IOCL’s Paradip Refinery project. Bearing a fake identity card of an Ex-Army Intelligence Officer, he engaged several youths in the refinery. He used to buy consumer products from the Army Canteen and sell them at higher prices.
When on Monday Mishra was buying some products at the 120 Battalion canteen, the Accounts Officer suspected his I-Card and informed the Kharvel Nagar police. Getting to know that he was from Paradip, the Kharvel Nagar police called the Abhayachandpur police and handed him over to them.
Many now suspect that some IOCL officers might have link with the illegal activities of Mishra. Later it was revealed that Mishra is an under-matric by qualification.
