The Uditnagar police have arrested and forwarded to court two persons for issuing fake caste certificates to two persons.
According to Rourkela DSP R Panigrahi, two persons of STI Railway level crossing area Vinod Rajak and Manju Sethi had applied for caste certificates. When they could not get it for long time, they took the help of one Sudhir Kumar of Chhend area who visited frequently to a laundry of their locality.
Sudhir settled to do the job for Rs 1,000. Accordingly, they paid the sum and with the help of Ragha Deep of Sector-15, Sudhir prepared fake certificates and handed them over to them.
When they submitted the certificates in the Sub-registrar office, the certificates were found to be fake. Sudhir and Manju were arrested after a FIR was lodged against them.
