Don’t lose heart and don’t take any extreme step in haste. Think of the Supplementary Examinations which are coming up within a month.” This seems to be the message to all those students who somehow fail to make it among the successful candidates of the 2013 matriculation examinations, the results of which would be out on Tuesday.
In case any student has failed to clear the exams, he or she has a golden chance to make it to the higher education along with the passed students this year itself.
“In order to achieve this, the failed student without wasting any more time should immediately sit down to prepare for the Supplementary Examinations, which are scheduled to begin from the last week of May,” informed Board of Secondary Education (BSE) President DP Nanda on Monday, just the day before the publication of the annual exam results.
“We shall also take care to publish the Supplementary Exam results by the end of June itself so that the students who pass can take admissions in Plus II classes or any other post-matriculate courses in the ongoing academic year,” Nanda added.
It may be recalled here that at least 15 unsuccessful students took the extreme step of committing suicide within two days of publication of the annual matriculation results last year. Meanwhile, the BSE made elaborate arrangements to announce the matriculation results on Tuesday.
The students can get their results from the printed result booklets which would be available in at least 40 selected High Schools, besides the BSE head office in Cuttack and the four Zonal Offices. The students can also get their results on internet and over their mobile phones by sending SMSs.
