Failure to succeed in the High School Certificate (HSC) examination forced a girl student to end her life by taking poison in her house. The student, Annapurna Bhuyan (15) of village Samiya under the Barchana police station in Jajpur district, was reading at the Rajendra Purnchandra High School. When she came to know that she had failed to clear the examination, she committed suicide in the night of the day the results were announced. She was immediately rushed to the SCB Medical College Hospital, but she died on Friday evening, police sources said.
