BJD youth leader and Ganjam block representative of Member of Parliament Siddhant Mohapatra, lakshmi Padhi, has reportedly resigned from his post protesting the indifferent attitude of the MP towards the Phailin and flood victims of Ganjam and Chhatrapur blocks.
Padhi has sent his resignation letter to the MP’s office and the block office, in which he has alleged that the Brahmapur MP has miserably failed to reach the calamity victims of the worst-hit district at this critical juncture when thousands of farmers, fishermen and villagers were in distress.
Padhi further said that owing to Mohapatra’s failure to come to the people’s rescue at this time of need, he was flayed and condemned by the public and forced to quit the post.
