Pujarini Das (31) of Nachipada had developed extramarital affair with Bapi for the last couple of months. On February 20, Pujarini fled with the latter by taking her son. Acting on information, a police team rushed to the spot and conducted raids at Paradip lock area on Saturday night and later managed to rescue the woman along with her son. On Sunday, Bapi was produced before the SDJM court, from where he was remanded into jail custody as his bail plea was rejected by the court.
