In yet another extortion-related violence, a medicine shop owner was fired at by three persons at Managalabag on Friday morning.
While the victim is under treatment at SCB Medical College Hospital receiving a bullet injury on his right thigh, police were yet to ascertain identities of accused. According to police, one Tukuna Bagh of the locality was fired at from close range while he was opening his shop in the morning. The attackers, who demanded extortion money from Tukuna’s brother, came searching for him and opened fire blindly at Tukuna and escaped from the spot.
