BSF jawans on Monday seized a huge cache of explosives in the Murlapur forest under the Narayanpatna police station while conducting a combing operation against Maoists.
“During our combing operation, we seized two landmines weighting two kg each, three clamor mines of 10 kg each and some wires and batteries. Subsequently, we defused all the seized harmful items carefully in the jungle,” said the Palur camp BSF DIG, adding that combing operations would be intensified in the area in the wake of the Maoist mayhem in the neighbouring Chhattisgarh.
