Experts give success mantras to IIT, AIIMS aspirants

An interactive workshop on ‘The Philosophy and scope of Competitive Exams’ for IIT and AIIMS aspirants was organised by the C’ksha IIT Academy here on Sunday.

Around 150 students of Class V to X attended. IIT-JEE gurus like Prof Arun Roy from Mumbai and Prof MK Tiwary from lucknow counseled parents and the students on the right approach for achieving their goals.

Roy emphasised on the need for learning with joy by asking the right questions. “At a young age, a child should be trained to ask the right questions and prepared to look for possibilities. But coaching classes are making them learn the short cuts to solve the different types of questions expected in the exam. This creates insecurity and fear in the young minds,” he viewed.

C’ksha IIT Academy directors Jyoti Prakash Mishra (Chemistry) and Satwik Das (Physics) emphasised that creating beautiful minds requires an open approach to learning with free will, and training the students only for the competitive exams does not help in the long run. The C’ksha teachers perfect students’ mind in this regard.

The academy’s achievements so far are 37 in IIT, eight in AIIMS, five in JIPMER, 12 in KVPY, 28 in NTSE, 36 in National Olympiads.
