Visit of two-member expert team to Chhattisgarh to conduct a ground study on the construction of barrages and dams and other proposed projects on Mahanadi was put on hold. The team was scheduled to visit the neighbouring State on Monday.
Meanwhile, a high-level committee of the ruling BJD would visit Chhattisgarh to conduct a ground survey of projects being under taken there and would present facts to the Central Water Commission (CWC).
The committee would be headed by Rajya Sabha member Prasanna Acharya.
