A delegation headed by Salepur MlA and Cuttack District Congress Committee president Prakash Behera submitted a memorandum to DGP Sanjeev Marik here at the police headquarters on Thursday urging him to expedite the police inquiry into the murder of Niali farmer Krupasindhu Sahoo.
The 40-year-old farmer, who had sought information through RTI about the fund distribution in his block towards line-sowing of paddy, fertiliser and seeds, was found dead at a deserted place in the locality last Saturday after five days of his abduction. Basing on ransom calls made to his wife, police have arrested three members of a family, including two women.
