The Hastashilpi, an organisation working for promotion of pure silk products, in association with GoCoop will hold a nine-day exhibition-cum-sale of pure silk sarees and other silk products ‘Silk India-2014’ fromSaturday here at Hotel Marrion.
“The main objective of organising the exhibition is to make accessible pure silk sarees and other silk products to the customers without any middleman delaing with to the weavers and artisans,” said Hastashilpi managing director T Abhinand. Nearly 50 stalls would be opened in the event where various silk saree weavers, handloom clusters and silk cooperative societies would exhibit their products, added Abhinand.
The exhibition will culminate on June 15.
