The Examination Committee of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) here on Tuesday could not take any decision about the fate of 108 students, whose Mathematics answer sheets went missing during the just-concluded High School Certificate (Matriculation) Examinations.
The committee also failed to decide the fate of another 500 students, whose English examinations were canceled due to large number of students of at least three schools located in Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Balangir districts were found adopting unfair practices during the time of the examinations.
“Although the members of the committee discussed at length about certain other aspects of the just-concluded Matriculation examination, they could not reach a final decision on the fate of the 108 students, whose answer sheets are still untraceable,” informed BSE Secretary Ramshis Hazra.
Similarly, the discussions on the fate of those 500 students, who were engaged in mass copying and their English paper was cancelled, remained inconclusive on the day,” Hazra said, adding that the Examination Committee would again meet soon to take a call on these two cases.
