The Indian Ex-Services League (IESL) conducted a cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat Mission at the Ex-Service Men Colony here on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti on Tuesday.
Odisha Rajya Sainik Board Secretary Veteran Lalit Kumar Agrawala launched the programme in presence of IESL president J Brahma and veterans along with their family members.
During the programme, Swachh Bharat leaflets were distributed amongst the nearby Subhas Nagar Basti and a motorcycle rally was taken out to Baramunda Bus Stand to create awareness among public.
Later the veterans also cleaned the bus stand area and gathered around the public park of the Baramunda Housing Board Colony and cleaned the area.
League secretary Bidyadhar Naik, veterans Gopinath Mishra, Umakant Mishra, Bimal Prasad Barik and Arun Kumar Mahanti coordinated the event.
