Noted socialist leader and former Kabisuryanagar MlA Tarini Charan Patnaik passed away here on Friday, family sources said. Patnaik (99), who was suffering from several diseases, is survived by two daughters. Patnaik was elected to the State Assembly from Kabisuryanagara as a Janata Party candidate in 1977. He was the President of the Aska Cooperative Sugar Industries limited and was associated with different trade unions. Several political and trade union leaders visited his residence and paid homage to him.
