Ex-MlA Arun Dey seeks Min's ouster

Published on:

Former Baleswar MlA Arun Dey on Thursday demanded that the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister resign from his post for the alleged large-scale irregularities in preparation of ration cards under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).

He also demanded action against the department Secretary. “Irregularities have taken place at the behest of elected representatives of the BJD. The identification of beneficiaries had been conducted in a hurried manner and the process was made without approval of Palli Sabhas and Gram Sabhas,” alleged Dey.

He urged the Govt to conduct a fresh survey prepare a genuine beneficiaries’ list.
