The Bhubaneswar Vigilance Special Judge on Wednesday convicted former Koraput RTO Purandar Pujari for possessing disproportionate assets to his known sources of income.
He was sentenced him to undergo two years rigorous imprisonment (RI) and to pay fine of Rs 1 lakh, in default, to undergo more six months RI.
Earlier on June 24, 2006 his residential house along with the houses of his relatives, residential Government quarter and office room were searched and disproportionate assets amounting to Rs 16, 66,688 was detected.
