Ex-J'khand CM Hemant joins M'bhanj rally

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM Supremo Sibu Soren’s son Hemant Soren was on a two-day tour to Mayurbhanj. As a part of his hectic schedule, he attended a well-attended ‘Kranti Samavesh’ organised by his party here on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, he exhorted the party workers to gear up for the upcoming panchayat polls. None of the parties in power in the State so far has been able to deliver, he alleged. JMM wants to bring about a revolution in the lives of the poor and the downtrodden of the tribal-dominated district of Mayurbhanj, which remains neglected since independence, Soren declared.

Others who addressed the rally include Jharkhand MlA Kunal Sarangi (Baharagora), former MlAs Ajen Murmu and Parallad Purty and senior JMM leaders like Mahesh Hembram, Fagu Hansdah and Kalinga Keshari Jena. Around 30,000 JMM supporters attended a rally.
