Trouble seems to be mounting for Tirtol BJD MLA Bijaya Shankar Das as his estranged girlfriend Somalika Dash has accused him of having affairs with multiple women.
At a time when a case has been registered against the legislator on the basis of a complaint filed by Somalika, she has levelled fresh allegation against the MLA.
“He has affairs with many women. He is also having an affair with a married woman. Objectionable photos of the two have gone viral. I had once advised him to refrain from such activities, but he didn’t pay any heed. He had threatened me saying that he belongs to the ruling party. I have now decided not to marry him,” said Somalika.
As per reports, Somalika in her statement to police has said Bijaya Shankar developed physical intimacy with her on the promise of marriage. She further alleged that he forced her to undergo abortion twice.
Notably, the Orissa High Court recently directed the Jagatsinghpur police station IIC to register a case against Bijaya Shankar on the basis of a complaint lodged by Somalika. Alleging police inaction, Somalika had moved the High Court seeking registration of her FIR against the MLA that had been filed on May 13, 2022.
Somalika had levelled a serious allegation against the legislator accusing him of not turning up for marriage at a court in Jagatsinghpur even as the two had applied for marriage registration at the office of the local Sub-Registrar. She further accused him of running a sex racket and the money collected through the sex racket was used by him for election-related expenses.
