Police on Saturday arrested former Pipili Congress MlA Judhisthir Samantray from here in connection with the Sushant Mishra murder case.
Acting on a tipoff, the Puri police, with the help of the Commissionerate police, raided an apartment at Damana and arrested Samantray
Samantaray’s wife Bhagyalaxmi said, “Police have arrested my husband on false charges. How can we feel safe without himIJ” On the other hand, Sushant Mishra’s mother Ritanjali said, “There are some more people who have hands in the murder of my son. I request police to nab them all, otherwise they will kill me.”
Earlier, police had arrested six persons in connection with the murder case and seized two bikes used in the crime.
Notably on January 4, Sushant was killed by some unidentified assailants near Uttara Square on outskirts of the city.
