Former Baleswar MP RK Jena has promised to extend all kind of helps to a 12-year- old girl who is in distress after her mother died a few months ago. Her father is missing from home long back.
The girl, a resident of Telengasahi of the town, is literally an orphan and currently is lodged in a destitute home in Soro.
Driven by poverty her father went outside in search of livelihood two years ago and never returned; her mother was working as domestic help and running the family. A couple of months ago she became sick and passed away. The girl had a dream of having better education and to be a police officer in future. However, after the death of her mother, the only caretaker, her hopes were shattered .
Recently she expressed her anguish to her inmates of the hostel . After this matter came to the knowledge of Jena through media, he promptly came forward to resolve her issue.
“I could learn that she was virtually in a hopeless state after the demise of her mother. So, after learning from the media and other sources I assured to look after her education. Wherever and whatever she wants to read will be fulfilled,” said Jena, an industrialist .
