A 45-year-old Retired Army Personnel died while two minor boys escaped with injuries after their scooter was hit by a speeding vehicle near Jawahar Chowk under TT Nagar police station area in the night on Monday.
According to the police, three persons including two minor boys were taken to hospital after their scooter was hit by a unidentified vehicle.One of the persons riding the scooter was severely injured and was declared dead while other boys escaped with injuries.
The deceased was identified as Kishanlal Karosia who was hit when he was on his way to duty and had two boys who took lift with Kishanlal.
The vehicle remained unidentified as registration number and other details of vehicle were not found in the investigation. The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation to search the errant vehicle and driver who escaped with the vehicle.
Meanwhile, a 52-year-old woman died who was injured after their bike was hit by another bike on August 22 in Bhanpur; deceased was on her way with husband to celebrate Rakshabandhan, police have started investigation.
Police claimed that the woman sustained head injuries which proved fatal while her husband escaped with injuries.
According to the police, the woman identified as Raj Bai was injured after their bike was hit by a speeding bike and she sustained head injuries. On the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started further investigation.
Raj Bai died on Monday evening while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
