In order to have dialogue with activists and well wishers of the AAP and others to form an alternative political platform, former AAP leader and his supporters have planned to organise a State-level ‘Swaraj Samwad’ at the lohia Academy here on May 14.
Yogendra Yadav, national spokesman of Swaraj Abhiyan formed on April 14 in the aftermath of ouster of four prominent leaders from the AAP, is scheduled to participate in this programme. He will also address a public meeting at the same venue at 6 pm on the same day.
This was informed by lingaraj, a former AAP leader who had contested the Bargarh MP seat in the 2014 general elections and who is currently associated with farmers’ and different people’s movement. About the objective of holding Swaraj Samwad, lingaraj said, “The Aam Admi Party under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal has betrayed party supporters and well wishers by behaving with utter arrogance. The idea behind formation of the AAP has been thrown to dustbin by throwing out the leaders who were entrusted with the work of formulating policy of the party. The AAP has now metaporphosed into a party devoid of democratic values, internal democracy, idealistic politics and goal of Swaraj.”
lingaraj said he and his supporters have resolved to be part of the Swaraj Abhiyan and strengthen it at the national level led by Prashant Bhusan and Yogendra Yadav and endeavour to bring together all likeminded individuals and forces at the State-level for a platform of alternative politics.
