A Press meet on a second-phase demonstration and utilities of EVM and VVPAT machines was held as per directive of the State Chief Electoral Officer.
While the meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Election Officer and district Collector Bibhuti Bhusan Dash, other officials like ADM Trilochan Majhi, Sub Collector Siba Toppo, Deputy Collector Nibedita Pradhan and Assistant Collector Aswini Panda were present.
Sources said that from March 6 onwards, a public awareness campaign would be held in all blocks, villages and wards etc of urban area to familiarise the voters with EVM and VVPAT machines. Besides, a mock polling would also be held to sensitise the voters on voting process.
A detailed programme on the programme has been uploaded in the district website. That apart, booth-level officers would give tips on use of voting machines at respective booths also.
