A joint eviction team consisting of officials of the BDA, BMC and GA Department with help of the Commissionerate Police on Saturday demolished a single-storeyed building constructed on Plot No 2678 at the CDP Drain 6 in the laxmisagar area. BMC Additional Commissioner had issued a notice on May 12. Accordingly, the team freed the land from encroachment. Two excavators were engaged for the demolition.
Among others, BDA Enforcement Officer Pramod Kumar Patro, BDA liasioning Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty, BMC Assistant Commissioner Mulla Mahamad Alli and GA OSD Bhagban Behera were in the team. laxmisagar PS IIC Rajat Kumar Roy was present at the site along with two platoons of police.
