'Every household must have toilet at home'

With the joint-efforts of social organisation Sanskarbadi, the Randha Gandhi Smruti Pathagar and some villagers, the Swachh Bharat campaign was held at Randha village on the outskirts of Brahmapur city on Tuesday.

Sanskarbadi Vice-President Sanjay Kumar Majhi, Pathagar Secretary Bishnu Prasad Patra and social worker Prasant Sahu headed the campaign and encouraged local youths to join the drive.

On the occasion, social worker Trinath Maharana underlined the need for toilet in every house to make the campaign a success. He stated that the households who do not have a toilet in their home must be debarred from getting all Government assistance and benefits of various welfare schemes unless and until a toilet is constructed. The district administration should divert Government assistances for the construction of toilet for each family in lieu of various welfare scheme benefits or financial assistance given to them, he added.
