The Ethics Committee of the State Assembly on Tuesday began probe into the allegation of watching of porn video by Congress MlA Naba Kishore Das in the House onDecember 14.
“We examined the matter sent by the Speaker today. Members have been asked to give their opinions,” informed committee Chairman Ranendra Pratap Swain to reporters after the meeting.
Committee member Amar Prasad Satpathy said CCTV footage and the video aired on a particular TV channel about the MlA’s act would be examined. The committee will meet again next week after it receives opinions of its members on the matter, he said.
While the committee has 23 BJD members, four Congress members and one BJP member, only 13 members attended the meeting.
