Essar Steel India has bagged the best CSR practising company award for its contribution towards voluntary blood donation in Keonjhar. Keonjhar Collector Bishnu Sahoo presented the award to Essar Steel vice-president Srikant Kar at a ceremony held by the district medical authorities.
Sahoo commended the efforts of corporate sector, voluntary organisations, academic institutions and individuals in meeting the target fixed by the district blood bank.
Kar said, “Supporting blood donation drive is part of our CSR activities that encompass health, environment, education and entrepreneurship. We will continue our efforts in these areas.”
Keonjhar CDMO Dr BN Maharana and former CDMO Dr Prabhati Rani Behera were present along with Essar DGM-CSR Niladri Parhi.
