Sahadev Samantaray of Sandhapur village under the Kujang police station was working as a contractor in Paradip ESSAR Steel company since 2013-2013. He claims to have an arrear of Rs 2,29,41,000 outstanding on the company for eight years. But every time the company denies the claim when asked to clear the arrear.
Last time, on August 3, Samantaray had gone to the company office but still got no money. Instead, the company lodged an allegedly fake case against him at the Paradip Model police station. Notably, ESSAR Steel has sold its steel plant and power plant to Aircel Mittal, but it has kept the belt line work in its hands. Meanwhile, Samantaray has taken legal help.
