On the allegation of several irregularities and dereliction in duties in a primary school , Nilagiri block education officer (BEO) has placed the headmaster under suspension following surprise visits and inquiries.
BEO Bhagirathi Giri further conducting visits to other schools stopped the salary of three teachers and issued showcause notices to five teachers.
The step was taken on the grounds of not coming to school in time, remaining absent without information and flouting Government guidelines etc.
The headmaster who was suspended is Kande Singh of Ambajhara UP School.
The BEO during visit to the school could learn that Kande used to remain absent from the school without information and had committed irregularities in utilizing the development fund meant for the school.
Similarly, action against other schools too was initiated on charges of flouting department guidelines.
