As part of its e-governance reforms, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has directed establishments covered under the EPF & MP Act in Odisha region to mandatorily register digital signature of employers and/or its authorised signatory with the EPFO in order to expedite disposal of transfer claims through the Online Transfer Claim Portal.
Establishment with over 500 members should register it by April 30, whereas establishments with 101-500 members should do it by June 30. Companies having less than 100 members are also requested to do the same.
The EPFO aims at availing its services to its stakeholders in an efficient, transparent and reliable manner through its e-governance, for which companies need to furnish their electronically authenticated records through the use of digital signature while submitting statutory returns, claim forms, etc.
