The All India EPF 95 Pensioners Sangharsana Samiti continued their stir at New Delhi demanding an increase in monthly pension from Rs 1,000 to Rs 7,500 under the EPS-95 Scheme.
Earlier, the Samiti members had met the Union labour Minister on December 6, 2017 and requested him to fulfil their demands. Now, a seven-member committee would submit a report on the demands by April 7, 2018.
Samiti Odisha member Kailash Chandra Mishra urged such pensioners of the State to take part in the protest and form a branch in Odisha to strengthen the fight.
He also said a meeting would also be held in Ganjam district over the demand.
