The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Crime Branch on Friday arrested another director of the chit fund company Vista Management Services limited for his alleged involvement in duping investors of Rs 50 crore by promising hefty returns. The company director identified as Manoj Patnaik was arrested from the city, EOW sources said. With this, the EOW has arrested three senior officials of the Vista Company, including its chairman cum managing director Deb Kumar Panda, so far.
On May 17, the EOW had arrested Panda from the Bhubaneswar railway station while he was leaving for Vishakhapatnam by an express train to catch a Singapore flight. later, the Crime Branch took Panda on a three-day remand for further interrogation. Four days after the arrest of Panda, the EOW arrested company’s former director Bijay Swain from the city on Thursday.
