The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Crime Branch police has arrested five people, including the Deputy Manager of the Baripada branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in a case of bank fraud to the tune of Rs1.17 crore, sources said.The arrested Deputy Manager and some other officials had allegedly sanctioned 51 fake personal loans at the Sakhigopal branch of the SBI between 2003 and 2006 and had appropriated the amount among them, sources said.
