People from different walks of life under the aegis of the Athagarh Bar Association at a meeting have unanimously opposed the entry of SAM Indus Private limited in the power sector citing that it would exploit the electricity consumers in their locality.
The meeting was attended by executives of all local bazaar committees, mediaperosns, leaders from various political parties and intelligentsia who expressed their displeasure over the private company’s entry and held local public representatives responsible for this.
The meeting also decided to organise a mass protest rally if the district administration and the Government fail to address the issue at the earliest, besides demanding another power connection from Choudwar to the local grid at Nuapatna in order to solve the power crisis in the area.
