A national entrepreneurship summit was organised by the entrepreneurship cell of the NIT Rourkela (NITR) at the institute’s campus here on Saturday.
Around 150 students from across the country attended the summit. The summit saw three major events in the first half. The flagship event NEGOSYO, a business plan competition, saw participation of more than 20 teams from in and outside the NIT Rourkela. The event was followed by a keynote talk by Mindfire Solutions CEO Chinmoy Panda on the topic of ‘Staring to start-up where and how’. Another event held on the occasion was Innovators’ Camp, a product development and display camp. It was inaugurated by TCS Principal Consultant Indranil Sarker, who is also an alumnus of the NIT Rourkela.
The event also featured an energising workshop on Ideas to Execution, where organising committee chairman RK Sinha said the fourth edition of the summit has generated a wide awareness among the students community in the region to adopt entrepreneurship as carrier of life rather than an opportunity to grow rich.
