Police in our country are most often criticised for harshness. But here is an act that makes the cops gain public applause.As per information, a Baraat party from Bhikampur village came to Talpali under the Sadar police station on Saturday afternoon.
The party was in joyous mood.But everything got changed when a member of the Baraat party slapped the brother of the bride. Soon, the bride side decided to stop the marriage. All prayers for excuse and request for an amicable settlement yielded no result. The bride side clearly stuck to their guns.Finding no other way out, the groom side went to approach police for help. The latter also tried to convince both sides but to no effect.
Finally, Sadar police station IIC Sambeet Behera called the bride and the bride groom and allowed them for a one- to- one discussion on whether the wedding be held or not.Ten minutes after, both of them came out of a room and expressed their desire for marriage. The guardians also agreed to respect the decision of the boy and girl. The police assured both the sides of full security.The marriage was solemnised late in the night at Talpali amidst Hindu tradition. The incident has become a matter of discussion here and everyone is giving full credit to IIC Behera.
