Encroachments near Iskcon temple cleared

In order to sort out the waterlogging issue in front of the Iskcon temple here, the joint eviction team on Wednesday demolished illegal constructions obstructing drain from Nayapalli Square to the temple along National Highway-16.

The joint eviction team consisting of BDA, BMC, GAD and Commissionerate Police also evicted illegal constructions established on the General Administration Department plots number N-5/166, N-4/220, N-6/262 and N-6/36 in IRC Village and Jayadev Vihar under Nayapalli police station.   

While three temporary structures were removed along the NH, five asbestos houses were demolished constructed on GA plots illegally. No untoward incident was reported during the drive. BDA Enforcement Officer Pramod Kumar Patro, liasioning Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty, Nayapalli zone ACP Rabi Satapathy were present during the demolition drive.
