A joint eviction team consisting of officials from the BDA and the BMC on Monday demolished unauthorised constructions on both sides of road from Ram Mandir Square to Vani Vihar (Janpath) under the Sahid Nagar and Kharavel Nagar police stations.
During the eviction drive, the extension area of 15 AC-sheeted shops, extension area of an Omfed outlet and an Opolfed outlet and two temporary thatched hotels were demolished. An excavator of the BDA was engaged for the eviction drive.
BDA Enforcement Officer Pramod Kumar Patro and liaison Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty were present.
Enforcement Inspector, Special Squad of the BDA and Enforcement Squad of the BMC were also present during the demolition.
