Unauthorised constructions around newly constructed Gayatri Vihar Park under Chandrasekharpur police limits in the city were demolished by a joint team of BDA and BMC on Tuesday.
At first the joint eviction team cleared encroachment over Government land in front of the park (Jogger Park). The park is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 1.
The squad demolished five AC-sheeted houses, two temples, four wooden cabins, a polythene-shed and one cemented water tank, said BDA liasioning Officer Subhranshu Sekhar Mohanty.
