Although it is obligatory on the part of the local administration to remove all the hoardings of all political parties, but even after 15 days of the election declaration hoardings of the ruling BJD are still on display in the ground near the St Teresa School of Joda town under the Champua Assembly constituency.
Sources close to Ranjit Mahakud and other BJP leaders revealed that they had brought the matter to the notice of local Sub-Collector Parul Patwari, who is the Returning Officer of the constituency some days back, but no action has been taken till date. It was demanded that all these hoardings be removed for ensuring a free and fair election.
