The Additional District and Sessions Judge of Jajpur sentenced eight persons to life imprisonment on Monday for brutally killing a man seven years back at village Dhanapur under the Korei police station in the district.
Pronouncing the verdict in the sensational case, judge B Kar convicted Babaji Sahoo, Santosh Sahoo, Ranjan Sahoo, Narayan Sahoo, laxman Sahoo, Bharat Sahoo, Kuntala Sahoo and Kanaka Sahoo to life imprisonment under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code on the charge of killing Keshab Boitei.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the convicts.
