The Raj Berhampur police detained eight persons, including the main accused, in connection with murder of a 45-year-old man.
The deceased Bhalua Kabata of Sananuagaon village was brutally thrashed by his neighbour Jagannath Kabata (50) and others on Friday over a love affair dispute. Bhalua succumbed to the injuries on Saturday in the Baleswar District Headquarters Hospital while undergoing treatment after having been referred from the Nilgiri hospital. According to sources , the incident was a fallout of one-sided love of son of Jagannath with the niece of Bhalua which was disapproved of by the latter’s family.
