The Energy Efficiency Services limited (EESl) signed a MoU with the UCCI, the NOCCI and the Surendra Mining Industries and the PPl for implementation of the National Motor Replacement Programme (NMRP) in the member industries at a workshop here last week.
The workshop was organised by the Institute of Sustainable Communities (ISC) and Power Tech Consultants.
Under the NMRP, the EESl would work with industries to replace all inefficient motors with energy efficient IE3 motors resulting in substantial benefits to the industry and to the nation.
The workshop was inaugurated by Director General of UCCI Rajen Padhi. CGM (Tech), EESl SP Garnaik, Director – ISC Bhaskar Natarajan, Program Officer-ISC Amit Singh Parihar, Senior Consultant, M/s. Power Tech Consultants Bibhu Swain and DGM (Tech), EESl K Thirumurugan spoke. Around 72 delegates from large and MSME participated. There was a consensus that the EESl, the ISC and the M/s Powertech Consultants will venture together for a implementation of NMRP in Odisha in association with the UCCI.
