The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating into the illegal financial transactions between IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak and his son Akash and expelled BJD MLA Pradeep Panigrahi, would seek permission from court to  interrogate all three of them, said ED sources on Wednesday.

The ED would grill them either at its office or in jail after getting court permission. It would also quiz all others having links with the trio. The ED would also seek court approval to attach properties if evidences of illegal financial transaction are found, said the sources.

Notably, the ED is probing the financial transactions between the three by registering three cases. It has also sought related information from banks in this regard.

Earlier, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Crime Branch was investigating the transactions of the three arrested accused.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has referred the case of corruption allegations against Pradeep Panigrahi to the Lokayukta for investigation.

Moreover, the Commissionerate police would take Akash Pathak, accused of impersonating himself as Tata Motors Limited Managing Director and duping jobseekers and a travel agency, on remand for further investigation.
