The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday took Saradha Group’s chief Sudipta Sen on 10-day remand to interrogate him about the offences committed by the company in Odisha.

ED remand.
Notably, the ED had brought Sen from Kolkata along with their police men on July 3 to produce him before court to take him on remand. But on the same day the court in its decision had sent the accused to seven days judicial custody.
In another case, the ED obtained a 10-day remand of the prime accused Deepak Gupta and his associate Satyabrat Rout in connection with multi-crore Uliburu mining scam that occurred in the State.

mining scam.
ED’s special public prosecutor S Mohanty advocated for 15-days ED remand citing seriousness of the offences committed by the duo in the mining scam and pending interrogation.
Earlier the ED had produced the duo before the Court on July 3 to take him on remand. But on the same day the court in its decision had sent the accused to seven days judicial custody.
