Continuing its probe into the financial transactions of self-proclaimed godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Raul, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday grilled Satyam Raul, the foster son of the controversial godman, here.

Sources said ED officials quizzed Satyam on land and financial transactions of the Satyam Trust, of which he is the trustee. The trust was formed by Sarathi.

Earlier on May 31, the ED had quizzed Sarathi’s close aides Dharanidhar Mallick, Surendra Mallick and Bijay Kumar Sahu on land related transactions of Sarathi.

Similarly, the ED had on May 30 subjected Sarathi’s brother Debendra Raul and aide Khagendra Rout alias Khaga to marathon grilling for five hours over financial transactions of the Satyam Trust.

Sources said the ED during the interrogation of the duo had tried to ascertain if any act of money laundering had taken place with the huge amount of money that Sarathi had gained, the sources added.

Besides, the ED had earlier quizzed Sarathi himself at the Choudwar Circle Jail.
