Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Tuesdayinterrogated dreaded arrested criminal brothers Sushant Dahlsamant and Sushil Dhalsamnat regarding their financial transactions from money laundering aspects.
A team of ED sleuths visited the Jharpada Special Jail here where Sushant has been lodged and interrogated him while the investigating officials grilled his younger brother Sushil, who is presently lodged at the Baleswar District Jail through videoconferencing from the Jharpada Special Jail.
The two siblings were arrested on January 29, 2016. The Commissionerate police had seized Rs 6 crore cash along with arms and ammunitions, mobile phones, laptops and several incriminating documents from their house during raids.
On Monday, a team of ED sleuths grilled five associates of the Dhalsamnat brothers in connection with the monetary transactions and laundering.
So far, 36 persons have been arrested in connection with Dhalasamanta brothers’ links. As many as 21 cases, including murder, loot, money laundering have been registered against the dreaded criminal brothers at various police stations in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
