The Zonal Rail Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) met at the Rail Sadan here on Tuesday.
ECoR General Manager Rajiv Vishnoi presided over the meeting. Many distinguished members of the ZRUCC, including representatives of MPs, Chambers of Commerce & Industry, PSUs, passenger associations, consumer associations and disability rights groups attended the meeting.
Vishnoi highlighted the achievements of ECoR and informed about the performance of ECoR and improvement in freight and passenger transportation in the current financial year. Issues related to passenger amenities and services, public demands and other developmental activities, installation of Passenger Reservation Systems, extension of trains were discussed.
Amongst others, Asit Kumar Pradhan from the Utkal Chamber of Commerce, Dheeraj Kumar Pandey from Kirandul, Dillip Kumar Patnaik from CII,Odisha, Nemani Sudhakar from Coromandal Fertilizers of Visakhapatnam, Punam Chand Chowdhury from Vizianagaram, RN Mohanty from the State Consumer Protection Cell, RR Mohanty from the Dhamara Port, Rajat Pratihari from Puri, Sadashiv Samantaray from the Nalco and Sruti Mahapatra from Swabhiman attended the meeting.
ZRUCC Secretary and ECoR Deputy General Manager SR Sethy coordinated the meeting.IJ
