As per the announcement made in the Railway Budget, the Railway Ministry has decided to introduce Paradeep-Santragachhi and Visakhapatnam-Paradeep weekly Express trains with effective from February 9 and 11, respectively. Besides, it will also introduce Gunupur-Visakhapatnam-Gunupur passenger train from February 9.
The Paradeep-Santragachhi weekly Express will leave paradip at 11.55 pm on every Monday and will arrive at Santragachhi at 8.45 am the following day. In return direction, the train will leave Santragachhi at 8.40 pm on every Tuesday and will reach Paradeep at 4.30am on the following day. However, on the inaugural day, the Paradeep-Santragachhi Express will leave Paradeep at 6 pm and will reach Santragachhi at 3 am the following day.
A new daily passenger train between Gunupur-Visakhapatnam-Gunupur will be introduced the same day from Gunupur at 6pm. The regular service of this train will commence from February 10. The passenger train will leave Gunupur at 2.25pm and reach Visakhapatnam at 9.40pm. In the return direction, the train will depart Visakhapatnam at 7am and arrive at Gunupur at 1.55pm.
The Paradip-Visakhapatnam weekly Express will depart Paradip at 10.30pm on every Wednesday and reach Visakhapatnam at 8.35am next day. In the return direction, the train will leave Visakhapatnam at 11.50pm on every Sunday and reach Paradeep at 9.30am next day. On the inaugural day, the train will leave Visakhapatnam at 2.30pm and reach Paradeep at 11.15pm. It will return from Paradeep at 11.55pm the same will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 9.30am the following day.
